## Abstract Although axial liquid dispersion has been studied extensively in particulate fluidized beds, no data has been reported previously in a liquidβsolid circulating fluidized bed (LSCFb). In this work, the axial liquid dispersions at various radial positions were measured in an LSCFB of 76 m

Abstract
A numerical model that simulates liquid spray dispersion in the fluidized bed of solid particles is presented. The model includes flow through the atomization device (nozzle), phase inversion and formation of the spray, its interaction with the solid particles, and liquid propagation within the bed. All these processes are modelled simultaneously to reflect the couplings existing between them. The model utilises a Eulerian description for all three phases to allow for the continuous computations throughout the whole domain. The comparison with experimental data reveals reasonably good agreement between the predicted and measured liquid to solid mass ratio distributions.

The mixing and segregation behavior of liquid fluidized beds containing two different-sized particle species are described mathematically. This model is based on a mass balance, rather than a volume balance, which has been used by most previous researchers. The model also includes the effects of den
