✦ Synopsis

A stretched version of the QUICKEST scheme for solutions of the advection -dispersion equation is presented. The scheme is accurate for large degrees of stretching, so that it can be used where large gradients are present, e.g. for the calculation of sediment in suspension close to the bed. The scheme is tested for various cases of sediment advection and dispersion in one and two dimensions.
