โฆ Synopsis
Two problems encountered in electron-atom collision calculations which involve interactions at large radial distances are discussed. One major problem is solution of the set of coupled second-order differential equations routinely obtained when asymptotic boundary conditions are imposed in coupled channel methods. The second problem is the evaluation of the radial integrals over products of Coulomb functions which are required in Coulomb-Born and Distorted Wave methods.
