✦ Synopsis

This paper presents a numerical method for computing the PML absorbing coefficients for finite-differencing schemes other than FDTD. The details of the proposed approach are demonstrated in the ( ) ESN enhanced spatial network method for TEM problems in one ( ) dimension 1-D . It is shown that the same 1-D absorbing coefficients can also be used in some problems in three dimensions, allowing for the reduction of artificial reflections from the lattice boundaries down to 52 dB. The performance of the ''loss'' coefficients is demonstrated in quasi-TEM problems in¨ol¨ing uniform and discontinuous microstrip geometries.
