✦ Synopsis
The computation of the vector potential distribution in rotationally-symmetric electron lenses can be made with the help og the finite element method. It handles effectively both the complicated geometry of the circuit and the magnetic saturation effects. The paper describes the calculation of the energy functional in one triangle, the mesh-layout method and the numerical methods used to solve the resulting set of linear equations.
