l-l -4 Umezono, Tsukuba, lbaraki 305 Japan Two-impurity Anderson model is investigated by the exact diagonalization method in small systems. In connection with the recent renormalization group and Monte Carlo calculations, we focus on the staggered susceptibility. It seems to have no tendency to diverge for various values of indirect exchange interaction (RKKY) JRKKY. However, if we consider the direct exchange interaction between two impUritieS,Jdi& -S2, the staggered susceptibility will have a chance to diverge at the zero temperature. l.INTRODUCTION
