β¦ Synopsis
An experimental investigation has been carried out to determine the heat transfer coefficient during pool boiling of water over a bundle of vertical stainless steel heated tubes of 19.0 mm diameter and 850 mm height. The p/D of bundle was 1.66 and was placed inside a glass tube of 100 mm diameter and 900 mm length. The data were acquired for the heat flux range of 2-32 kWm -2 .

Nucleate pool boiling heat transfer of a refrigerant-based-nanofluid was investigated at different nanoparticle concentrations and pressures. TiO 2 nanoparticles were mixed with the refrigerant HCFC 141b at 0.01, 0.03 and 0.05 vol%. The experiment was performed using a cylindrical copper tube as a b
Boiling cryogenic fluids in capillary tubes of varying geometry are used to study heat transfer. It was found that nucleate boiling in a capillary channel, when the heat flux density on the wall is increased, is followed by slug boiling. The optimal cross section for the system is also calculated.
