✦ Synopsis

We have demagnetized 8.3mmol Auln 2 and measured its heat capacity C at 2mTs B~II5mT and 40/~K~TslmK. We get C~B2/T e with B2=Bext2+blnt 2 at "high" temperatures.

At the lowest temperatures C is strongly enhanced above this Schottky behaviour. In fields Bz47mT we observe a maximum in C. In smaller fields the maxima are below the temperatures accessible to us. The 16Hzsusceptibility was measured in fields BextS2OmT.

In the temperature range of enhanced C-values we also get enhanced x-values. The x-data again indicate a zero-field Tc=40~K and a internal field btnt(Bext~O)=SmT.
