The recoilless absorption spectra of the 58 keV ;~-rays from 159mTb in Z59Tb situated m Tb~O~, TbA12, Tb metal and TbFe 2 have been measured at temperatures ranging from 20 ° K to room temperature. The sources used were 159Dy and 159Gd in oxide form. All absorbers gave unsplit absorption lines. From
