✦ Synopsis


The nuclear quadrupole interaction (NQI) of 99Mo(p-)99Tc in MO(V)-cysteine and Mo(VI)-cysleine complexes was measured by time differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) in ammonium salts between 77 and 300 K. The NQI is about a factor of two larger in MO (V)-cysteine than in MO (VI )-cysteine. The NQI for both complcxcs is considerably larger than m their EDTA analogues (17% and 45% for MO(V) and MO(W), respectively).
