✦ Synopsis

High-resolution rotational spectra of HNCS and DNCS have been recorded with two different types of microwave Fourier transform spectrometers. Nuclear hyperfine splittings have been resolved for five transitions of HNCS and for the 101-000 transition of DNCS. Quadrupole coupling constants for HNCS have been determined to be ,YJN) = 1.1651(23) MHz and x,,,,(N)= -0.5284(17) MHz. For DNCS the only transition measured yieldedX,,(N) = 1.2135( 15) MHz and x.,JD) =0.0948(26) MHz
