✦ Synopsis


Nuclear magnetic resonance on oriented nuclei was applied to 89Nb (1 ~ = 9/2+; 7"1/2 = 2.0 h) and S9Zr (F r = 9/2+; T1/2 = 78 h). The zero-field hyperfine splitting frequency ~ = Ig/zNBaF/hl, was determined to be 278.55( 12) MHz for 89NbF._ee and 51.57(3) MHz for 89ZrFe. With the known magnetic hyperfine fields BHF(NbFe) = -264.54(19) kG and BHF(ZrFe) = -284(6) kG, the magnetic moments are deduced to be/.t(89Nb) = 6.216(5) /~N and/.~(S9Zr) = -1.072(23) gN.
