✦ Synopsis

National Petrochemical Co (NPC), Iran, is to start work in Jun 2002 on a 50,000 tonnes/y linear alkylbenzene plant in Kermanshah, Iran. Site preparation is finished and detailed engineering is expected to be completed in Sep 2002, and the plant should come on stream in 1H 2003. The project will be in the hands of the subsidiary Mashaldaran Petrochemical. Engineering will be supplied by Tecnicas Reunidas, Spain, and Enerchimi, Iran, and technology is licensed by Axens (formerly Institut Francais du Petrole).
