Welsh Lessons won the Global Short Story Award 2010.
Ten Pounds for Your Thoughts was included in the anthology The Road Home, and Sucker Punch was published in the anthology Fight or Flight.

Chris Westlake has written two novels. His first novel, Just a Bit of Banter, Like was originally published in 2013. His second novel, At Least the Pink Elephants are Laughing at Us, is due for release in December 2017. Chris is currently planning his third novel. This book will link the first two novels together. Chris is not sure whether the series will be a trilogy, as he has plenty of ideas for more!
Chris was born in Cardiff and grew up in Bridgend. Most of his stories are set in and around Bridgend.
