An efficient method for the preparation of protected phosphate ester-linked resins in high yield and purity is presented. Variation in tether length/functionality and substitution pattern of the l~honol precursors, as well as taild deprotection conditions make this system ideal for the combinatorial genexation of phenyi phosphate SH2 inhibitor libraries.
