Background. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are potent inducers of bone formation. Functional and immunohistochemical studies have identified BMPs in a subset of osteosarcomas. In the present study, the authors extend the analysis of BMP expression to other bone and soft tissue sarcomas. Methods
