Das Natriumlthylat wirkt also ghnlich dem Zinkchlorid bei der E. Fischerschen Reaktion. Dieselben Prodiikte entstehen auch, wenn man das Acetoyhenonphenylhydrazon der Destillation unterwirft; die Ausbeute an u-Phenylindol ist dabei kleiner. 0,2637 g gaben 10,2 ccm Stickgas bei 21° und 758 mm Druck.
