have been improved upon, particularly the conversion of the last intermediate 3‐amino‐2,4‐dimethyl‐5‐methyl‐amino‐pyridine (VII) to desoxyadermine. As a result of these improvements, desoxyadermine can now be synthesized in an overall yield of 15%, based on the starting materials acetyl acetone and cyanoacetamide.
