Can I move to Blue Moon? I love the Blue Moon series (come on, crazed goats, meddling neighbors, the amazing Pierce brothers!!) and Not Part of the Plan is a fantastic addition. I loved Niko and Emma, their story and their happily ever after. But even more, I love the story of this town, the interaction between family and friends (and the occasional farm animal!!). This is the fourth in the series and can be read alone but I recommendreading the others. They are very good! And I love how each book builds toward the next. So glad this is a series and not a once in a Blue Moon story. Lucy Score takes you on a return trip to Blue Moon in Not Part of the Plan. It feels like a trip home with the familiar characters, the laughter and most importantly the love. The great thing about this book is that it reminds us about all of the different kinds of love in the world, romantic love, friend love, family love and community love. Niko is an interesting character that takes a trip to Blue Moon to visit a friend and discovers a part of himself he didn't realize was missing. I LOVE BLUE MOON!!! I want to live there! These books are the best :) And by far my favorite. Not Part of the Plan was awesome! AND I loved that all the original characters were all involved in this book. You get to grow into the relationship with Niko and Emma and you get to see how Carter and Summer, Beckett and Gia and Jax and Joey have all progressed and how they grow their family. Blue Moon is home to me. I know the people, I know the rhythm. I know the storefronts and the cracks in the sidewalk. Blue Moon could be the town I grew up in, the town I still live in. And that is endearing to me. It might seem over the top to some people, but I know it to be true.
