โฆ Synopsis
Urechis caupo (Fisher and MacGinitie, '28 a ) is proving to be such a valuable animal for experimental purposes that the following information relative to its sex activities may be welcomed at this time.
Worms of this species may be kept for several months in salt water aquaria with running water. If they are placed in glass tubes to simulate natural burrows, so that they may feed (Fisher and MacGinitie, '28 b), they may be kept indefinitely.
IW. W. Newby at Btanford
University is now working on the histology of this animal, and his determination of the areas concerned with the formation of sex products should appear in an early paper. I am indebted to him for the prepared slides used i n the preparation of this paper.
