## Abstract We investigate some classes of eigenvalue dependent boundary value problems of the form equation image where __A__ βŠ‚ __A__^+^ is a symmetric operator or relation in a Krein space __K__, __Ο„__ is a matrix function and Ξ“~0~, Ξ“~1~ are abstract boundary mappings. It is assumed that __A__
