We present a review of ultrasonic Doppler methods (duplex scanning) used in the noninvasive assessment of renal artery stenosis and hemodynamics. The clinically successful applications of ultrasonic Doppler methods to the noninvasive assessment of the peripheral and cerebral vasculatures have prompt
