## Abstract The effect of fine (5 ΞΌm) and coarse (95 ΞΌm) aluminum on the deflagration‐to‐detonation transition (DDT) behavior of HMX, in charges pressed to 90% theoretical maximum density (TMD), was studied. It was found that Al slows down the DDT process increasingly as the content of Al increases
