โœฆ Synopsis

Case reports

Case 1 A 71 -year-old man presented with persistent vomiting following an episode of Campylobacter enteritis. Gastroscopy revealed no abnormality. A barium meal demonstrated obstruction of the third part of the duodenum with crowding of normal looking mucosal folds. Laparotomy revealed a circumferential organized duodenal haematoma extending into the jejunal mesentery. A gastrojejunostomy was fashioned and the patient made an uneventful recovery.

Case 2

A 60-year-old man presented with vomiting for 48 h. Two weeks
