Some existence theorems are obtained by the least action principle for periodic solutions of nonautonomous second-order systems with a potential which is the sum of a subconvex function and a subquadratic function.
LEIGHTON and SKIDMORE have studied the stability of an isolated equilibrium or critical point for the systems associated with second, third, and fourth order nonlinear differential equations. The author of this paper has extended the results to a sixth-order system.
This paper presents an improved approximation technique for gradient based approximation methods of mathematical programming. The proposed technique prevents oscillations of the sequence of approximate solutions in the optimization process eciently and preserves the relatively simple form of the app
