✦ Synopsis
A model for activation-energy-controlled charge transport in water-in-oil microemulsions has been proposed in order to interpret the strongly non-linear field effects in such systems. Introduction of a waiting time in the charge transport mechanism and consideration of polarization-controlled growth of ramified nanodroplet clusters yields a straightforward description of the experimentally observed non-ohmic conductivity.
