✦ Synopsis
Continuous non-Cartesian sampling schemes, widely used in modem NMR imaging, can yield complete 2D NMR spectra within a single-scan signal digitization. The present work illustrates a purely spectroscopic application of this strategy to the extraction of 2D NMR spectra from heteronuclear pairs of coupled spins. The experiment allows one to digitize a unidimensional data set which after proper rearrangement and processing, affords a complete chemical shift-heteronuclear coupling 2D correlation NMR spectrum. Theoretical and computational aspects involved in these single-scan experiments are discussed, and a series of solution NMR examples are presented.
