✦ Synopsis

The Bumar Com-caU combines hearing protection with transmission and reception of conversation by cable link. The headsets are built into Bilsom ear defenders which offer attenuation and comfort. The electronics have automatic maximum safe level limiting, automatic volume level, automatic on/off switching, side tone and a low power consumption giving 400 h life from one pen cell. Each headset is self contained and the microphone boom can be pivoted up to park above the headband when the ear defender is used in the passive mode. An impedance tube is used in place of the conventional microphone, mounted on the end of a boom arm. The boom is flexible enabling easy positioning to the best position for clear speech and it can be replaced in a few seconds if damaged or for hygienic transfer of headset from person to person.
