Q-factor of the LC tank from being decreased dramatically for this period. However, Q CPL serves as a current source in the proposed VCO. Although Q CPL in the triode region is not a good current source, the phase noise is improved due to the absence of noise from a current source. The QVCO without a current source can operate under a lower power supply than a VCO with a current source, while phase noise is not degraded.

MEASUREMENT RESULTS
