✦ Synopsis


The title compound, C 20 H 18 N 4 O 2 Á2H 2 O, an amide-containing bipyridyl-type compound, crystallizes as a dihydrate. The organic molecule is centrosymmetric. Hydrogen-bonding and stacking interactions in the crystal structure result in the formation of an infinite three-dimensional supramolecular network.
