Abstract
The structure of the intermediate obtained in the come of the nitrationof 2βfurancarboxaldehyde was investigated by means of ^1^H and ^13^C NMR. It was shown unambiguously that this intermediate is 2βacetoxyβ2βdiacetogymethylβ5βnitroβ2,5βdihydrofuran.
