Abstract

Structure changes and charge transfer in the doping process of poly(2,5โ€dimethylaniline) (PDMA) were studied by NMR technique. It was shown that not only the polymer chain but also the hydrogen atoms and methyl groups on the aromatic rings were involved in the charge transfer process. A โ€œfour ring BQ derivativesโ€ model was proposed to explain the NMR results.

## Abstract Electrical conductivity measurements and scanning electron microscopy have been used to study uncoated and poly(__p__โ€xylylene)โ€coated samples of polyacetylene doped with AsF~5~. These initial results indicate a considerable reduction in the decay rate of conductivity in the presence of
