โฆ Synopsis
Diaryl tellurides undergo rapid Iigand exchange and disproportionation reactions on treatment with phenyllithium at -78ยฐC. Triaryltelluranes [lo-Te-3(C,)]-Li were identified as discrete intermediates during the reactions by '"Te, ' H , I3C, and CH-COSY N M R studies.
