✦ Synopsis
Abstract
Proton and carbon‐13 NMR spectroscopy have been used to obtain the torsional barrier in some protonated ortho and meta substituted benzaldehydes, and the relative populations of the O‐cis and O‐trans rotamers have been determined. The results are compared with earlier data on free benzaldehydes.
