✦ Synopsis

Abstract

The carbon resonances of two naturally occurring triterpene compounds of the 9β__H__‐lanostane series (abieslactone and the corresponding 3‐keto derivative) have been unambiguously assigned. 2D heteronuclear chemical shift‐correlation NMR studies suggest that at least two conformations of the 3‐keto derivative are likely to be present in solution.
