✦ Synopsis
Physico-chemical properties of lipid bilayers play an important role in many biomembrane processes, ranging from membrane trafficking and membrane signaling, over membrane protein folding and peptide induced membrane fusion to even aggregation. In recent years much interest has been devoted to the occurring interactions between various lipid components and membrane-associated peptides and membrane proteins. NMR methods for such studies have been successfully utilized and are now routinely employed in these areas.
