✦ Synopsis

Abstract

^13^C, ^17^O and ^14^N NMR chemical shift data for a series of 1,3‐indandiones are reported. Linear correlations were established between some chemical shifts and the electron densities for the compounds in question. Chemical reactivity predictions were based on the results obtained.

Carbon, nitrogen and oxygen NMR spectra of some nitro derivatives of pyrrole and imidazole have been investigated. The 13C chemical shifts of para-carbons and the 170 chemical shifts of the nitro group correlate qualitatively with the electron densities on these carbon and oxygen atoms, which in tur

## Abstract ^1^H, ^13^C and ^17^O NMR spectra for 22 substituted nitropyridines were measured and their ^1^H NMR spectra were analysed. The most significant variations in the NMR parameters are found for isomeric hydroxy derivatives, owing to the possibility of keto–enol tautomerism. The prevalence

Pyridofuroxan ([1,2,5]oxodiazolo [3,4-b]pyridine 1-oxide) undergoes isomerization between the N1oxide and N3-oxide forms which can be observed by the 1 H, 13 C and 15 N NMR spectroscopy but not by 14 N and 17 O NMR at ambient and low temperatures. The rearrangement becomes slower at low temperatures
