We report 23 Na NMR studies of the polycrystalline samples of double-layer hydrated cobalt oxides Na x CoO 2 AE yH 2 O (x $ 0.35 and y $ 1.3) with the superconducting transition temperatures T c < 1.8 K and $4.5 K, and the dehydrated Na x CoO 2 (x $ 0.35). The hyperfine field and the electric field
