β¦ Synopsis
Infrared and Raman spectra of organometaUic derivatives of nitrothiophenols, nitrophenols with increasing donating properties of MR. group and PhHg-derivatives of nitroanilines are examined. The effect of solvents and substituents upon the doublet in the vs(NO2) region for p=nitrophenols and p-nitroanilines is explained. Linear correlations between va, and vs(NO2) intensities are found.
