Abstract

Nickel(II) complexes with deprotonated trisubstituted thiourea were prepared. The crystal structure of Ni[PhNC(S)N{(C~2~H~4~)~2~O}]~2~ showed that the nickel atom is centrosymmetrically square planar coordinated through the N and S of the thioureido ligands. The diamagnetic compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c [a = 24.146(3), b = 10.480(2), c = 9.473(3) Γ…, Ξ² = 106.38(1)Β°] and contains four formula units per unit cell.
