✦ Synopsis

Skye Dunbar from Edinburgh is looking for her share of the American Dream, preferably atop a rocket. She's going to study aeronautical engineering at the University of Colorado. But before her classes begin, she’s grabbed off the sidewalk outside a tourist shop in downtown Denver.

Her da tries to help her, but he’s viciously attacked and left for dead. Skye gets tossed into the back of a pickup owned by two lunatic farmers, Maude Gacy and her son Rufus.

Before Skye knows it, she’s out in the middle of nowhere, far from Denver. The Gacys are taking her to a remote farm on Colorado’s drought-stricken eastern plains.
