✦ Synopsis

Five excellent packaging solutions were each awarded a Scanstar in the Nordic packaging competition. The winners were announced at the Scanpack fair in Go ¨teborg, Sweden. The competition is an annual event during which Nordic packaging developers, packaging designers and packaging producers compete for the Scanstar award which is very desirable as regards future marketing. Furthermore, the Scanstar allows the winners to take part in the global packaging awards competition, Worldstar, which is organized by the World Packaging Organisation. Traditionally, the solutions entered by Nordic competitors from the packaging industry are among the very best.

This year 49 packaging solutions were entered in the competition, and after a thorough examination and evaluation, the jury agreed to award 5 the much-coveted Scanstar. Before the competition, the packaging solutions were divided into various categories, e.g. design, environment, production optimizing, distribution, etc., and on this basis an overall evaluation was made.
