## Abstract Six new triterpene glycosides, repensosides A–F (**1**–**6**, resp.), were isolated from the roots of __Gypsophila repens__ L. Their structures, established by extensive 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR spectroscopic experiments as well as MS analyses, were found to be based on gypsogenic acid (or gypsog

✦ Synopsis
Two new bisdesmosidic triterpenoid saponins, i.e. 1 and 2, were isolated, besides the three known saponins 3 ± 5, from the MeOH extract of the aerial parts of Achyranthes aspera Linn. (Amaranthaceae). Their structures were elucidated as
- by NMR spectroscopy, including 2D-NMR experiments (machaerinic acid 3b,21b-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid). The other saponins were identified as b-d-glucopyranosyl 3b[O-a-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 3 3)-O-b-d-glucopyranuronosyloxy]oleanolate (3), b-d-glucopyranosyl 3-b-[O-b-d-galactopyranosyl-(1 3 2)-O-b-d-glucopyranuronosyloxy]oleanolate (4), and b-d-glucopyranosyl 3b-[O-b-d-glucopyranuronosyloxy]oleanolate (5) (oleanolic acid 3b-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid).
