## Abstract A novel N‐containing aristolane sesquiterpenoid compound, lepidamine (**1**), was isolated from the fruiting bodies of Basidiomycete __Russula lepida.__ Its structure was established by spectroscopic means. It is the first aristolane‐type sesquiterpene alkaloid isolated from nature.
