New spin fluctuation in the heavy fermion compound CeRu2Si2

✦ Synopsis

Inelastic neutron scattering on the heavy fermion compound CeRu 2 Si 2 shows that there is an antiferromagnetic fluctuation with a modulation vector k 3 0.35c* in addition to those with k 1 0.3a* and k 2 0.3(a* ϩ b*) reported in the previous study. The wave number k 3 is associated with the magnetic long-range-order appearing in Ce(Ru 1Ϫx Rh x ) 2 Si 2 .
