✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A new approach to the synthesis of pyridazinone, ethoxypyridine, pyrazole and 7‐aminopyrazolo‐[1,5‐a]pyrimidine derivatives. The structure of the newly synthesized compounds was elucidated by elemental analyses, ir, ^1^H nmr spectra and in some cases by ^13^C nmr investigations.

## Abstract magnified image __E__‐3‐(__N,N__‐Dimethylamino)‐1‐(3‐methylthiazolo[3,2‐__a__]benzimidazol‐2‐yl)prop‐2‐en‐1‐one (**2**) was synthesized by the reaction of 1‐(3‐methylthiazolo[3,2‐__a__]benzimidazol‐2‐yl)ethanone (**1**) with dimethylformamide‐dimethylacetal. The reaction of **2** with
