on projects such as gas-to-liquids (GTL) and dimethyl ether (DME) as part of its policy to promote clean fuels and environmentally-friendly products. The company is involved in discussions with jv partners for all these projects. A feasibility study for its GTL-1 project with Shell will be completed in late 2003 to early 2004. The 50:50 jv project will be sited at Assaluyeh, Iran, and is scheduled to start up in 2008. NPC is also setting up a 50:50 jv with Sasol for its GTL-2 project in Assaluyeh. This project will produce 110,000 bbl/day of gas oil, naphtha and LPG from 2006-2007.
