✦ Synopsis
This is a review of new results on rare decays of the r lepton. The results include new upper limits on the sevenpion decay r---+ 4r r-3rr + (rr°)u~, and new measurements on the five-pion decay r---+ 3zr-2rr + u~ and the six-pion decays, r--~ 3rr-2rr + rr°u~ and r---+ 2rr-zr+3rr°ur, including the first observation of the decay r---+ rr-~2~r°ur. Also included is a review of the first measurement of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay r---~/t'*-rlu~. The results are compared with the Standard Model predictions, including a detailed comparison of the six-pion decays with isospin symmetry and Conserved-Vector-Current (CVC) expectations.
