✦ Synopsis

This is a review of new results on rare decays of the r lepton. The results include new upper limits on the sevenpion decay r---+ 4r r-3rr + (rr°)u~, and new measurements on the five-pion decay r---+ 3zr-2rr + u~ and the six-pion decays, r--~ 3rr-2rr + rr°u~ and r---+ 2rr-zr+3rr°ur, including the first observation of the decay r---+ rr-~2~r°ur. Also included is a review of the first measurement of the Cabibbo-suppressed decay r---~/t'*-rlu~. The results are compared with the Standard Model predictions, including a detailed comparison of the six-pion decays with isospin symmetry and Conserved-Vector-Current (CVC) expectations.

Data from the KTeV experiment have provided many opportunities for studies of fundamental symmetries in nature, not just CP. We present new limits on lepton flavor violation and a new result concerning the parity of the π 0 . We also present studies relevant to the underlying contributions to the de
