Two types of dual-phase polymer electrolytes (DPE), mixed latex DPE and core-shell latex DPE, were fabricated from styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) latex mixture, and from polybutadiene (PB)/ poly (vinyl pyrrohdone) (PVP) core-shell latex. Conductivities
in a number of polymer electrolyte systems have been investigated using divalent cation salts such as Ma(ClO,),. Ca(ClO,),. Ni(Cl0.L and ZnCI,. The polymers used were comb-branched structures with oligoTkthyl% oxide) -&d iligo(piopylene oxide) aidd chains and polyphosphazene networks linked by tetra-aza-macrocycles. The systems using Mg and Ca salts achieved levels as high as 10-3-10-4 S cm-' but the aza-macrocycles were about two orders of magnitude poorer.
