✦ Synopsis

A neutron diffraction experiment was carried out with large single crystals of y-oxygen.

Weak reflections were carefully measured and different models of rotational disorder have been tested. We prefer a model with several forbidden orientations of the molecular axis and a great amount of disorder among the remaining orientations.
